Heat pump rebates in California
TECH Clean California’s single-family incentives page, checked 3 November 2026, says these reservation statuses in its own words:
- As of 24 February 2026, HEEHRA single-family rebates are fully reserved statewide, and the program is no longer accepting new income-verification applications for single-family projects statewide. Unapproved requests, including those submitted after that date, are waitlisted.
- As of 7 January 2026, HEEHRA rebates for single-family homes in Central and Southern California are fully reserved, with the same waitlist rule.
- As of 14 November 2025, TECH Clean California single-family heat pump water heater and heat pump HVAC incentives are reserved statewide.
- As of 3 July 2025, 3CE incentives are fully reserved.
A waitlisted project is eligible for a HEEHRA rebate only if the heat pump is installed after the reservation is approved, according to that page. TECH points Californians to Switch Is On for incentive lookup and says San Fernando Valley incentives tied to Aliso Canyon were expected in late summer 2026.
