Heat pump rebates in Massachusetts
Massachusetts heat pump incentives run through Mass Save. The installer network file we use (revised 29 October 2026, downloaded 3 November 2026) says contractors on the list provided EPA certification, insurance in Massachusetts, and heat pump installation training. The same disclaimer says the sponsors do not endorse the contractor or warrant the equipment.
Mass Save’s Air Source Heat Pumps page, checked 3 November 2026, publishes 2026 tonnage rebates: whole-home $2,650 per ton up to $8,500; partial-home $1,125 per ton up to $8,500; basic $250 per ton up to $2,500; income-based enhanced incentives up to $16,000. Equipment must be ENERGY STAR Cold Climate on the Mass Save QPL and installed by an HPIN contractor. Re-check that page before you sign — 2027 amounts are lower. Full walkthrough: Mass Save heat pump rebate guide. Finder: heat pump installer finder.
The network file has its own “Instant rebate” and “HPLN” columns. Those values are copied onto installer profiles when the file contains them. They are the file’s fields, not a price quote.
